John Whittingdale MP stood in Parliament today to ask Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, Elizabeth Truss, what the UK Government was doing to address the absence of free media in Russia.
Mr Whittingdale’s key area of interest has always been media freedom- which is why he is concerned by the lack of objective and factual news reporting in Russia, and now parts of Eastern Ukraine.
