I was delighted to attend the British Kebab Awards dinner in Park Plaza Westminster and to present Sami Barli, owner of Sark Restaurant in Maldon, with the award for Best Regional Kebab Restaurant.
Sark faced strong competition from across the South of England and it is a fantastic achievement to win this award. As a regular customer of Sark, I know that this accolade is richly deserved and I am also very much aware of the fantastic amount that Sami and his team do in supporting the local community and many good causes.
