It is excellent news that the UK will be hosting the Annual Session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly this summer. As Leader of UK Delegation, John Whittingdale MP is looking forward to hosting Parliamentarians from the 57 member states of the PA, in Birmingham, in July.
This July will be the first in-person Annual Session since 2019, due to the COVID-related cancellation of the 2020 Annual Session and the holding of a Remote Session in 2021. It is also the UK’s first time hosting the Annual Session since 2004- when it was held in Edinburgh.
The Parliamentary Assembly branch of the OSCE, facilitates discussion and cooperation between member state parliaments, on OSCE related work such as international security and economic issues.
