John Whittingdale was delighted to attend a dinner this week hosted by the Speaker, to celebrate 30 years of being a Member of Parliament.
He was joined by 13 MPs from across Parliament who are also celebrating 30 years of dedicated service to their constituencies.
John Whittingdale said “On the 9th April 1992 I was elected to be the MP for South Colchester and Maldon. It has been an honour and a privilege to represent this area in Parliament for three decades now. We have seen a lot of change in the last 30 years, but one thing remains constant – my affection and admiration for all those who live in Maldon and the surrounding towns and villages. I hope to continue to serve you for as long as I am able to, and for as long as I have your support”.
