This last week I represented the UK at the Inter-Parliamentary Union Assembly in Kigali, Rwanda – in my capacity as vice-chair of the British Group.
Whilst I was there, I spoke about Russia’s ongoing illegal war in Ukraine, and why we must continue to condemn Russia’s blatant breaches of international law.
I am very pleased that the Assembly passed the emergency motion in support of Ukraine with the result that the Russian delegation left the meeting early.
