Today John chaired a meeting for MPs from all parties with Mr Ruslan Stefanchuk, the Speaker of the Ukrainian Parliament, the Verkhovna Rada, and a delegation of 7 Ukrainian MPs, which included the Leaders of the Governing Party and Opposition factions.
He also met representatives of Save the Children Fund deployed in Ukraine to hear about their work and the tragic effect of the war on children with an estimated 500 killed in the last year.

“It was a privilege to be able to meet with the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and the Ukrainian delegation, as part of their visit to Parliament.
It was very useful to have the opportunity to discuss the current state of the War and what more the UK could do to support the people of Ukraine”
