Sir John Whittingdale officially started the Rotary Club Of Burnham on Crouch ‘s inaugural Volunteer Ramble. The ramble began at All Saints Creeksea and consisted of 1 2.5 mile or 4 mile walk. Volunteers participating in the Ramble had obtained sponsorship to benefit a range of local charities and it is intended that it should become an annual event.
John said:
“I congratulate the Rotary Club on organising this event. It was a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the beautiful countryside around Creeksea while raising money for a lot of good causes. I would like to thank all those who took part and hope to join them again next year”
