Sir John Whittingdale gave evidence in the Women and Equalities Select Committee today, for their inquiry into Misogyny in Music.
As the Minister for Media, Tourism and Creative Industry, John is aware that women in the music industry often experience discrimination, workplace bullying, and inappropriate interactions from colleagues- which is unacceptable.
John spoke about how the Government is intervening, and what changes can be made in the industry, and he looks forward to hearing the recommendations of the committee on how we can improve equality and treatment of women in the creative sector.
