Sir John Whittingdale visited Maldon Primary School to talk to members of the School Council and answer their questions. The children had been learning about Parliament as part of UK Parliament Week. Sir John was also shown round the school by Headteacher, Deborah Conroy and met members of staff.
Sir John said:
“I very much enjoyed talking to the children about my work as a Member of Parliament and answering their questions on a wide range of topics. I was also struck by the happy atmosphere throughout the school and am delighted that in the latest Ofsted inspection, Maldon Primary was classed as Good School. I congratulate Miss Conroy and all the staff on their hard work to achieve this”.
